How to normalize relations between Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran?

Saudi Arabia and Iran are the two most powerful countries in the Middle East. There are some small proxy wars between Iran and Saudi Arabia over power struggles. Iran wants to increase its dominance in the Middle East, while Saudi Arabia wants to increase its dominance in the Middle East.

Where does the Saudi Arabia-Iran conflict begin?

When all the Arab countries lost to Israel during the Arab-Israeli war. Then Iran made all the Arab states the head of security. Shah Palvi was then in power in Iran. The Arab states then declared Iran a temporary Arab state. And America and Israel did not take kindly to this beautiful brotherhood among Muslims. The West made Iran a secular state with Shah Palvi of Iran. Then in 1979 the Islamic Revolution took place in Iran and the monarchy was abolished.

Then Iran-Saudi Arabia relations were good. Then when Imam Khomeini, Iran's supreme religious leader, wiped out all US and Israeli interests from Iran. That's when the United States and Israel began to raise suspicions in the Arab world about Iran. The United States and Israel have called Iran a threat to Arabs, mainly because of the Arab monarchy and the growing Shiite influence in Arab countries. Then there were good relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran. The problem began in 2009 when Saudi Arabia banned the Hajj for Iranians. But then Mahmoud Ahmed Najad, the president of Iran, did not get involved in the conflict with Saudi Arabia, but established relations with Saudi Arabia.

Then, when Saudi Arabia started carrying out Shiite genocide in Syria with IS militants, Iran also deployed troops in Syria. As a result, Iran-Saudi Arabia relations began to deteriorate. Saudi Arabia then converted the war in Syria into a Shia-Sunni Salafi war. At that time, 4.2 million Shiites in Saudi Arabia were subjected to inhumane torture. Hundreds of Shia clerics were executed.

Iran has strongly condemned the persecution of Shiites in Saudi Arabia. Then there was the bitter rivalry between Iran and Saudi Arabia. That's when a third party launched a missile attack on Saudi oil tankers. Saudi Arabia and Iran also believe that Iran is behind the attack.

Saudi Arabia then waged a proxy war against Iran with 12 Sunni states. Which includes Yemen, Iraq, Syria and other countries. Since then, there has been unrest between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

However, a number of countries are trying hard to negotiate between Iran and Saudi Arabia by saying goodbye to the Saudi alliance. Such as Qatar, Kuwait, Oman. In Qatar, the foreign minister recently called on the Saudi alliance to hold talks with Iran. Qatar has said that Doha is ready as a venue in Qatar. In addition, Kuwait and Oman have repeatedly called on the Saudi alliance to hold talks with Iran.

Is it possible to normalize Iran-Saudi relations?

Yes, but the two countries must be restrained first. Just as Saudi Arabia is acting like the extremist Salafis, it is acting like Iran and the extremist Shiites. So the two countries must come out of the aggression first. Then there is the need for a third country to work to normalize Iran-Saudi Arabia relations. He may choose either Qatar or Kuwait, Saudi Arabia-Iran.

The two countries must stop helping anyone other than terrorism. Iran is persecuting Sunnis in the Middle East with its militias, while Saudi Arabia is killing Shiites in the Middle East with its Salafism IS militants. Who must close the two countries?

Only if Iran and Saudi Arabia accept the above can relations be normalized. Maybe one day Iran-Saudi Arabia relations will be normalized under the leadership of Qatar.
