US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also said yesterday that "Iran has the biggest base of Al Qaeda in Afghanistan. The militants in Afghanistan are fleeing but the Iranian government is providing direct support to Al Qaeda in Iran." 

In retaliation, Iranian Foreign Minister Javed Zarif said, "Iran has never helped Al Qaeda. And al Qaeda has never attacked Nine Ely Vene. The Nine Elie Ven attack was an American drama.
